Artist’s Statement
Using fiber materials is my principle means of
expression. My vessels create a vocabulary of shapes in a contemporary
translation of a traditional coiling technique. The work emerges without a
conscious preplanned form. Remaining true to myself and revealing my
personal visions is my primary goal as an artist. The work is not about the
object taking up space in a decorative way, but about communicating with
the viewer. The joy for me comes from knowing the ideas continue to flow
and there are more pieces to be created.
